Aaina Dekho

A Youth Leadership Journey
Aaina Dekho is a 6-day residential program for youth leadership journey. The program marks the start of a journey towards realizing the attributes, values and skills of ethical leadership. Our participants navigate together through this journey by actively experiencing a series of workshops and spaces thoughtfully designed to discover themselves.
We welcome applications from different parts of the country to ensure a culturally diverse cohort to maximise the impact of learning in the program. Through this, we aim to bring together varied world-views that on such a platform not only build on each other’s strengths but also create a safe ground for acceptance of each other’s vulnerabilities. The connection with self and with others made in such an environment is nurturing.

Process

  • Self Development

    Understanding self by going through a process of deep self awareness and reflective exercises

  • Effective Communication

    Identifying and communicating emotions and needs through authentic and responsible ways of expressing

  • Connecting self and society

    Finding ways to connect with the community through rural immersion and service learning

  • System thinking

    Understanding systems perspective to be more aware of one’s action which would have implications on systemic problem solving.

Eligibility

  • Participants in the age group of 18-30 years will be preferred. Applicants below or beyond these age limits will be duly considered on case-to-case basis.
  • Looking for self connection

Contribution

  • We welcome contribution on trust basis with the sliding scale of INR 5000 to INR 24000. Our program cost per participant is INR24925.
  • Mera Gaon Meri Dunia is an NOT FOR PROFIT organization and we are running Aaina Dekho from the supports of individual like you who believe inner to outer change and personal awareness is the need of the society.
